One does not realize how isolated one is in the ND until visited by someone from outside, from the great beyond, from the land that has Thai restaurants. Dr. George was up for a brief couple days. Her main reason for fleeing northward, other then her constant hope to be caught in one of the lovely ND weather patterns (NOT), was to see and hold baby Nicky. The first baby in this end of the family, for a while. It was joyous! We ate random things, shopped a various stores, watch 3rd Rock from the Sun and MASH but the best bit was Nicky.
Dr. George gave Nicky is first Christmas tree ornament. A baobab tree with little zebras around it. It is truly adorable! He made sure he entertained her with his stories, ability to manifest strange smells, and his cuteness power!
Today she left, returned to lower the realms, back to the incarcerated. We miss her...this seems appropriate...
