it is all about "War Driving"

Getting up in the morning and doing what I call "war driving" or winter driving needs a swift kick in the trousers to get it done and Drop Kick brings it home. I do not play this on the way to Jennys when I have baby, baby gets Owl City but as soon as baby leaves the auto we switch over to something much more inspiring. "War Driving" consists of several features...
  • Always expect the unexpected this applies to roadway conditions as well as other drivers - Mostly the other drivers!
  • Ignore the dick who is tailgating you in incremental weather conditions, if he can't slow down he can visit ones bumper...though when I have baby in the car this really freaks me out. No seriously, after being rear-ended at highway speeds I am pretty sure I can walk away from a minor rear-ending on Avenue C. Of course if baby is in the car, someone will be getting smacked if I can get out of my vehicle.
  • Pick-ups, SUVs, and other vehicles will generally speed, slide out of control, and fail to stop at red lights. Ok, just because one is driving a larger vehicle does not mean one will stop on ice, unless you are behind the wheel of a snow plow. Yesterday, I saw 2 pick-ups slide through intersection, a stuck SUV, and 2 other SUV's that clearly believed the red light did not apply to them. Lets just say somewhere in Bismarck is a little Old Lady who is still thanking God she was not crushed like a bug yesterday and someone who was crossing the street who almost had a new religion whipped up for him/her (couldn't tell, they were wearing Everest Gear). Did I see any cars having issues, no, they were all driving way slow though some couldn't get going at lights.
  • When it comes to Snow Plows, I treat them like Gods. Seriously, I give them the biggest following space and I bow to their amazing grand snow moving presence.
