the joys of the over eager...

About a month before Christmas 2009 I read a review about Hasbro's Zambi the baby elephant. "Pet, tickle and touch one of the sensors on ZAMBI'S back, chest and trunk and he responds just like a real baby elephant! He moves his trunk up and down, wiggles his ears and makes lifelike trumpeting and chewing sounds!" The review said that this "might" be the top selling toy for the Christmas season 2009 but there were complaints about it not being a soft plush moving toy. I am really into elephants, they are the most adorable animals as long as they are not crushing you under their powerful girth. I wanted to get this for Nicholas but with a price tag of $50 dollars I decided that my son could live without for now.

Apparently, Target, the wonderous magical zone of goodies bought a whole herd of Zambi elephants. It is clear that the elephant was not as popular as the review led me to believe and now Target is trying to off-load them on the cheap...so for 75% off...in other words, I got Zambi for like $9. Yes!

Nicholas is fascinated and Zambi makes him giggle, which is a good thing as appears that he would like start teething. Dr. Bunny thinks Zambi is her bestest best friend.
