oh Texas Board of Ed...what is your stupid level?

Frankly, I find it disturbing that the Texas Board of Ed is attempting to ban Ethical Marxism.  This just levels the playing field of stupid a notch lower and makes me wonder why I live in this wondrous "freedom" country?  Even more disturbing and amusing is that Texas made a wee bit of a mistake when it came to their banning adventures.  Texas is busy editing the history our children read : Hijacking History. All I can say is that when my son heads off to the great realm of intellectual achievement he will probably be in trouble.  We do not edit history in our house, our house is one giant swirling sucking vortex of knowledge.

Board Confuses Authors of 'Brown Bear,' 'Ethical Marxism'

The Texas Board of Education, worried that a scholar's book about Marxism might infiltrate a portion of the state's third grade curriculum, accidentally has banned work by the author of the popular children's book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, The Dallas Morning News reported. The intended target of the ban was Bill Martin, a professor of philosophy at DePaul University, who offended some Texas board members with his book Ethical Marxism: The Categorical Imperative of Liberation. But the board accidentally banned work by Bill Martin Jr., author of Brown Bear.

Special Note: What 3rd grader is going out of his way to read Ethical Marxism....really....
