Woke up at 5:30am to feed Nicky and it was raining out. Went back to bed and woke up at 8amish and behold we were in some sort of crazy snowy wintery freaky blizzard like creature! This ended all my joyous Friday plans, which involved eating out and wandering part of the universe with Nick.
Early afternoon, I had de-hoarded the basement store room and needed to get out for a bit. So I walked down to Grocer. Later I regretted I had not brought a small inflatable raft, as my boots got full of water. When I arrived at the grocer, saturated with water, snow, and wind blown, I walked through the door right into two ladies who had stopped to gab in entry way and right in my path. Nothing annoys me more in the world, when people stop to have conversation right in the middle of the universe, right were people are attempting to cross. Even more amusing was the conversation...
"I don't know why they are open...the meat and cheese is all covered with plastic..." This ensued a brief conversation between the ladies, in the meantime I am kinda of wanting them to move or for them to get sucked into a time and space vortex. The grocery store had been without power for 3+ hours. Since the coolers don't have doors, plastic had been placed over the coolers to save the products. I am certain these woman would have not been pleased if the store had been closed and been complaining about it as well if that had happened. Some people are just dumb.
