Had some mommy time yesterday for lunch, which ended up to be baby time as I spent my lunch hour buying Nick some cute t-shirts at Old Navy. While roaming about the universe I briefly visited TJ Maxx. Lately they seem to have been lacking products I would normally be interested in. This time, I did stumble across some Bruder Toys. A cement mixing truck and Tele-Crane truck. " Founded in 1926, Bruder Toys is one of the largest family owned and operated manufacturers of high quality toys. Located in the small town of Burgfarnbach in Southern Germany, the family business currently employs over 350 local townspeople and operates a factory with 368,000 square feet. In an extremely competitive marketplace, Bruder Toys refuses to use labor exploitation. Bruder has innovated top computer operated machinery and robots, making it possible to maintain all manufacturing and reliability tests in-house. Going into its ninth decade, Bruder Toys continues its commitment to remain one of the most reliable, specialty toy manufacturers in the world."
So I pondered, should I buy these or should I not. I researched them, liked what Bruder stood for. They employ townspeople and they refuse to use labor exploitation. Big plus being they are German! So I went back and acquired the wonderous Bruder trucks. Sure Nick has 2.5 years until he can play with them but this doesn't mean Auntie Leslie and I can't. We are old enough, just barely. Soon as the ick of winter subsides, we will toss our shoes and spend sometime in the sandbox with the Bruders!
