On Sunday, was in Detroit Lakes, basking the wondrous glow of water, sun, and sand. Got a phone call from Ellen K., our house sitter, that Max's eye looked super freaky! Yesterday, we spent some quality time at the vet, cuz little doggies love vets! Apparently Max has Cherry Eye. The Vet seemed rather surprised as she said this usually afflicts Bulldog, chihuahua, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, Pekingese, Neapolitan Mastiff, and Basset Hound but not Max's little genetic species....which we had assumed up to now he was Lhasa Apso and something else. I told the Vet, well he could be a Bull-dog, we just don't know.
We could get Max surgery but that is like 300+ dollars. It doesn't bother him, just looks rather grotesque and since Max eats nasty things in the yard, we will just add this to his list of current weird ick.
