Steven does a "Mel Gibson".....

Steven Slater is in trouble, he went ballistic on a airline passenger.  Steven Slater will probably be fired, fined, maybe jailed.  Depending how pissed various people are at him.  Personally Steven, you did what most of us, who work in the Public Service profession have wanted to do at sometime or another.

People do not listen, they do not intend on following directions, and since we know the customer is "always right" no matter how "wrong" they are, we are forced to be nice, fluff their egos, and pretend to care about their stupidity.  In Steven's case, after announcing for everyone to stay seated until the plane got to the gate, a passenger hopped up to get a bag from the overhead bin, and then hit Steven in the head with "said" bag.  This is the case on almost every flight I ride on, one or two people are in a desperate hurry!!  Even though they can't get off the plane until we park at the gate and unload the other passengers in front of them.  They hop up before we barely land, grab their bag, they unbuckle their seat belt, sometimes whip out their cell phone and start calling someone in a dramatic manner.  I guess this sort of behavior makes them feel important.  Frankly it makes them look stupid. Just chill, you aren't going anywhere.

The next time you are being rude to someone working in the customer service profession, insisting you are right about something, refusing to stay in your seat while the plane cruises to the gate, or just being a general ass and the customer service person is being all nice....remember, he/she probably just wants to "slap the stupid" out of you....do a Mel Gibson.  Even worse, I might be watching and listening and then blog about your stupid level.  Make note of this lady standing in front of me at the North Starbucks, who ordered a beverage, received "said" beverage, and then claimed it was not what she ordered.  Oh yes, you got exactly what you ordered, I heard your order...and I wanted to "slap the stupid out of you."
