Agenda?

Reading the most recent National Geographic (March 2011) and in the article Taming the Wild by Evan Ratliff (35-59) the wild cat is discussed. On page 51 one the article says "Wildcats were the only animals believed to have domesticated themselves, attracted at first by rodent prey found around early agricultural settlements in the Middle East, beginning almost 10,000 years ago." What are my cats agenda's then? Are they trying to take over the world? Maybe all the religious and political unrest can be blamed on them? Maybe they are to blame for previous mass extinctions? I feel a Mulder and Scully moment coming on.  Forget aliens, it is the cats we should worry about.
