Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi has told state TV that Osama Bin Laden and his followers are to blame for the protests racking his country.
In a phone call addressed to residents of the town of al-Zawiya, Col Gaddafi said young people were being duped with drugs and alcohol to take part in "destruction and sabotage".
Way to seek a scape goat Gaddafi! Sorry the US already are blaming Bin Laden for so many other things that he doesn't have time to cause chaos in your country. Mostly I am amused by this: "He (Gaddafi) said that Libya was not like Egypt and Tunisia, which have seen their leaders deposed, because the people of Libya had it in their own hands to change their lives through committees."
Dude Gaddafi, I can tell you right now committees do not work. Fine examples of this exist in the United States and daily in Dilbert cartoons. Committees are just away to kill a few hours, babble incoherently, maybe score free donuts, and then make a race for the door. Most committees end up with some stupid moron hogging our precious air space and causing us to attempt to kill ourselves with paper cuts.
Personally the drugs and alcohol sound grand, maybe Libya should start marketing themselves as the rave capitol of the world? I know I would be less likely to riot if I was raving!
Gadaffi, stop looking for scape goats for your chaotic problems. Use this moment to re-brand your country, get a new logo, and import some fun drugs. By next year, Libya could be the top place for spring breakers!
