Apparently Applebees got stuck with some of the dumbest customers the other day. Well it could have been they were slightly intelligent when they came in but the 18 beers added an extra level of stupid to the situation. Then to top it off, they claimed it was their b-day? Really?!
Bismarck police arrested two people who dined and dashed, minus the dashing.
Lt. Mike Wardzinski said employees of Applebee's, 434 S. Third St., reported at 12:30 a.m. Monday that two patrons had informed them they would not be paying for their meals, which cost more than $100. The pair made no attempts to leave and waited for police to arrive.

Clayton Catchthebear, 51, and Shannon Carrymoccasin, 42, were charged in Bismarck Municipal Court on Monday with Class B misdemeanor theft of services.
Wardzinski said the two ran up a $129.81 tab, including tax but not including gratuity. The check included charges for at least 18 beers, a margarita, salad, boneless wings, sliders, crab sticks complimentary Pepsis and a complimentary birthday dessert. According to jail records, neither man's birthday was Sunday or Monday.
A police report did not say how long the two were in the restaurant.
A manager at the restaurant referred questions to a corporate spokesperson. No one answered at that number in three attempts.
