the end...for now...

Dragged my exhausted half living corpse the attic to watch the last episode of Jersey Shore for the season last night.  Jersey Shore is like an addictive substance that I really can't seem to get enough of. This season has been fraught with chaos, intrigue, and the constant fighting between Ronnie and Sammi. Probably the part that appalled me the most was J-Woww...to be fare this chick is a force of nature! Yet her one flaw seems to be men? In the final episode, Roger seeks her a as a full-time girlfriend. Snooki's response to this is, Roger makes her happy, she needs to be happy. This may toss me into the feminist camp but I feel that as a female one can't depend on the male species to offer happiness. If one does not find ones own internal happiness, seeking it outside oneself will lead to failure, strife, and whatever happened to J-Woww's last relationship with Tom.

Salon.com captures this best "I feel most frustrated by the actions of J-Woww, who looks like an Amazon ready to spear any beast that dares cross her path. I want her to be an icon of feminine strength, but her armor of independence is cracked by her need to have a man in her life. There is something disconcerting about her jumping from the bed of one man, Tom, into the arms of another, Roger, rather than taking time between relationships to absorb and reflect on what happened with the last one. That and the fact that her taste in men is awfully questionable."
