One aspect of having a tiny human about the house is gifts in the toilet! So far we have successfully kept him from flushing anything vital down the toilet, at least that we know of yet. Generally we keep the door shut to the bathroom. Yes, I did try a toilet lock, gosh that kids is smart. Took him 5 minutes to remove it! Now he thinks it is a bath toy.
Nick has always been obsessed with the toilet and water. As soon as he got that walking thing under control, he began flushing the toilet with his mouth. At first I was tempted to deter this behavior, but a man flushing the toilet? Really? Got to keep this trend going! Nick has now progressed to giving his duckies rides in the toilet, if we don't catch him first. Frequently, I open the toilet to find a pod of floating duckies and a random hippo.
Am looking forward to the future when Nick finally demands private bathroom time, it is at these times I will walk by and hammer on the door and beg him not to give his duckies rides in the toilet. Most importantly this should be done if his friends visit the house.
