Everything has seemed slightly overwhelming of late. Anytime I try to accomplish anything, particularly at home, it is like I am stuck in sand. Try vacuuming with a toddler, a toddler that has no fear of a vacuum! Nick thinks the vacuum is an amusement park ride!
After deep consideration and thought I have decided that hiring a housekeeper once a week is prudent. I know that once the secondary minion arrives, things will be even more chaotic then before. I used to think rich affluent snobby people hired housekeepers but after take a survey of various random people that do not meet the following criteria and discovering that they have housekeepers I decided I was worthy. Did consider twice a month visit but after previewing my house after one week, to save my sanity, once a week is required.
After filling the brains of many, daily, the only thing I want to do when I get home is play with Nicky Boo and after he falls off to sleep, this gives me a short time period to prepare our clothes and be generally lazy. When I am not being lazy I am visiting the realm of the treadmill god.
Patrick took on the task of de-icking the house this weekend. Once he retires, I will hire him as my full-time live-in housekeeper and pay him with certain favors :-). He also discovered the phenomenal difficulty of attempting to vacuum around Nick. If only that kid was a bit older and then I would give him the vacuum and tell him to go for it!
