Prehistoric Mindset....

Apparently ND has decided, "who the hell needs a nice unblemished state park"...yep North Dakota has sold their tiny souls to the Big Oil and given up Little Missouri State Park, 20 miles north of Killdeer, to 80 or so oil wells.  What the hell?  I love this park, it is awesome, quiet, peaceful, animals, birds, water....North Dakota I am not pleased with you.  I saw very little information on this until, North Dakota’s most spectacular state park to be sacrificed for oil from the Forum showed up.

"In fact, the parks department and the tourism office are continuing to advertise the park as a badlands wilderness experience for hiking, horseback riding and camping. Just avoid the trucks and don’t get too close to the gas flares."  So I would be visiting hell?

What's next?  Hand over Theodore Roosevelt National Park? Even though that is on the national park. Heck, lets toss some wells up at Double Ditch Indian Village and see if we hit something.  What about an oil well right in the middle of Fort Buford?  So if you are thinking, "gosh, were should I go this summer?"  Might recommend a holiday in ND before we hand all our State Parks over to the Oil Barons.  Wait, I thought we should be well into the Green Energy scheme of things now, what is with our archaic mindset? Oh never mind, we like to let other nations show us up, you know the ones, that are still on the Kyoto protocol and the others that are pushing toward green stability like Germany

"GERMANY: In spite of its cloudy weather, Germany has more than half of the world’s solar-power generating capacity and has invested over $14 billion in green technology last year. In fact, one of its towns - Vauban – has gone almost entirely car free!" - 2011
