Was watching TLC's Extreme Cheapskates last night and was appalled....
1) the number of people were all like I don't own a couch, they are too expensive, I don't want to go into debt for furniture. Good grief...I was poor broke and still had a couch. On clean up day you can find the stupid things on the curb, you just have to haul. I had a couch for 7+ years that I got for $10 dollars. If you are true cheapskate, you can score a couch, you just don't want to. Stop whining about it.
2) then there was the women who was all..."I got rid of my phone...why do I need a phone when I can walk to the public library and use theirs." Wow..I am sure the librarians just love you! Then she followed this up by basically telling her daughter that she couldn't have a pair of $2 dollars shoes..they were too expensive. Oh good grief. It is your daughter, splurge a bit.
3) then there was the lady who peed in the jar to save on water....I am not even going there...
