Frack this...

So the naysayers are running around saying "fracking is fine...fracking is cool...get on the fracking train."  Well screw that, I think different...

First this: Spain Earthquake, Drilling Wells Linked In New Study Of Lorca Tragedy
Using satellite images, scientists from Canada, Italy and Spain found the quake ruptured a fault running near a basin that had been weakened by 50 years of groundwater extraction in the area.
During this period, the water table dropped by 250 meters (274 yards) as farmers bored ever deeper wells to help produce the fruit, vegetables and meat that are exported from Lorca to the rest of Europe. In other words, the industry that propped up the local economy in southern Spain may have undermined the very ground on which Lorca is built.

Then this: Fracking-Earthquake Connection Suggested In New Study
However, researchers have long known that fluid-injection operations can trigger earthquakes. For instance, in 2006 one geothermal energy site triggered four earthquakes in Basel, Switzerland, ranging from 3.1 to 3.4 on the Richter scale. Fracking also appears linked with Oklahoma's strongest recorded quake in 2011, as well as a spate of more than 180 minor tremors in Texas between Oct. 30, 2008, and May 31, 2009.

Our planet is not a stable creature, it is always changing and shifting.  Stretching and moving.  What you think is solid ground could turn into a sink hole tomorrow and suck your house, dog, and collection of star wars memorabilia into a giant gaping chasm.  Sure, frack away, things seem fine but just when you think the universe is in your favor something nasty will happen. When it does...frack you...
