Apparently some conservative Christian bakers in Oregon, who run Sweet Cakes refused to make a Lesbian couple their wedding cake. Since I frequent Oregon, and Gresham, I decided to have a look see at their webpage, which proudly proclaims "Welcome to Sweet Cakes! Are you looking for a wedding cake or for ANY occasion? .." I did not see any small print like *unless you are gay and getting married...they really need to put disclaimers on their site as to not mislead the rest of the planet. I suspect a 100 years ago, this couple would have been refusing interracial marriages cakes as well. Alas...how tiny are peoples brains.
There is a positive spin to this "Since the story went public, “Ace of Cakes” baker Duff Goldman has
stepped in to offer to make the couple their wedding cake for free,
saying, “I can do something, there’s injustice involving a cake!”
