some wander..

My brother Uncle Doug is back on the road.  He gave up his job this previous week to complete his pursuing of  his Library Masters from Drexel U.  He has been working on this for the past year while working full-time and found that was work far to demanding and was causing chaos with his studies, in other words he has been staying up till 1am - 3am most nights trying to complete his studies part time.  If he left and went full-time he would complete by August and be back in the market for a librarian job.  So when push comes to shove, he dumped his employment.  We are sad to see him leave but think it is probably the best thing at this time. There is a large expansion of details on this subject but I will leave them out as they make me super cranky.

This is all quite ironic as he arrived to work here in January like 7 years ago?  I can't remember.  I was quite lonely at the time.  Been living here just over year and didn't do a whole lot.  Home and work.  I figured I would stay 3 years and then leave.  Then Doug arrived and the fun started.  We bought a house in Mandan, became Starbucks Mavens (well we didn't have a Starbucks when he first arrived but we finally got one).  Loved to go to Barnes and Noble late Saturday night and play with the Thomas and Friends train set they have in the childrens section. We traveled the ND universe...visiting little ND towns, visited the ND experimental forest that ate birds, ate at weird places, saw strange movies, stranger television shows, and a whole vortex of internal jokes that no one would understand.  Now he is leaving.  I do in some ways credit Doug for helping me find my adorable Patrick! The universal equation has changed a lot since Doug arrived years ago.  Now I am married to an adorable Swede and my world brims with poopy diapers and little boo snuggle time.

So bye bye my adorable brother...may you find your place in this universal insanity (hey, you forgot your cat Dr. Bunny!!!) :-)
