Jan. 2008, my Saturn stalled out on a bridge, I was rear-ended at highway speeds and went to hospital with head trauma. Made, apparently, a full recovery. Still am slightly paranoid of bridges and vehicles randomly deciding stop for no apparent reason!
April 18, 2010....my 2007 Toyota Camry started to shutter and loose power. It also did this to my husband and that little red check engine light came on. You know the light that warns you about impending auto chaos and zombie attacks? That light!! I took it home and refused to drive it. Patrick took into the dealership, guess what? The magical chaos gnomes could not find anything wrong. Dudes the red check engine light is on!!!! Needless to say, the car has one more chance. If it does this again. I am pulling the key, leaving and letting a tow truck take it away. I will get another car at that point, maybe a Honda...yea, Honda. I do not play with cars that do freaky cramp on roadways, ever! Not after one gets rear-ended at highway speeds and wakes in the hospital swearing, informing everyone "she is the information goddess," and is mentally thrown back into her pre-grad school years. Oh hell no, this will not happen Toyota. You better pray to God, this problem does not occur again. I love you but you are messing with my emotions.

I really like my Scion XB. Lots of room, practical, easy to spot in a parking lot...
You might find a gently used model in your neighborhood.
