If there is one thing I have learned about religious bodies, they quickly find scape goats or things to blame when events take them into the southern naughtiness realm. This is certainly true, currently, for the Catholic Church. I loved Pope John Paul, I mourned his death and then the magical ass fairy smoke told as that Pope Benedict was next. When he arrived on the scene, I had an ominous feeling in my gut that was going south. Yep, not only did the Pope condemned the use of condoms in Africa....oh hey, idiot boy! Africa has high rate of aids...they need them! Now he is blaming the sins of the church for the clerical abuse scandal.

Sure the church has huge sins...mostly I am kinda of pissed about the crusades, destruction/conversion of native tribes of so many various continents, and thanks for being idiots when comes to science/space/the universe...that helped us progress so quickly! Dudes, right now, you had/have some naughty people diddling children, take care of the problem like big boys! Quite clearly, this issue has been going on for a long long long time, covered up, even by the current Pope himself, and they continue to not take care of the problem.
Some days, I just want to smack someone....and I know were some prospective candidates are. The Pope needs to clean his own house......
