The story gets stranger...we pick up dead coons....
Apparently the Carrington wrestling team not only picks up "what they believe" are dead raccoons, they smack the coon with a pail prior to picking it up? Say what?

CARRINGON, N.D. (AP) - The coach of a North Dakota high school wrestling team that was pulled from a regional tournament over the weekend because of exposure to a live raccoon will not be disciplined.
The Carrington school administration wanted to place wrestling coach Mark Pazdernik on administrative leave for the rest of the season, but no motion was made on the recommendation during a school board meeting Tuesday.

Superintendent Brian Duchscherer said Pazdernik stopped the team bus on the way to Grafton and allowed athletes to get off. He said the athletes hit the raccoon with a pail and put it in a bus storage compartment without realizing it was still alive.
Pazdernik said he acted on impulse and feels bad about the incident.
