not funny...just stupid

Ok, I have to admit I am not that into shoes, I mostly were Doc Martens with a few other random selections tossed in. I generally only buy shoes I can wear in incremental weather conditions, that won't send me sliding into next Tuesday...sorry Manolo Blahnik, you will never hold court in my closet and it is not because of your cost.    When I read people were getting cranky over sneakers, I was slightly appalled.  This happens every now and again, shoes get released...people loose their minds but over sneakers?  Really!?  Then reselling them?  How disturbing.

Sneaker-heads rioted at a Florida mall this morning and bidding became frantic on eBay as Nike's latest limited edition sneaker -- the Foamposite Galaxy -- went on sale today.
At $220 a pair, the shoes are already worth much more on the secondary market. As of this morning, a pair listed on eBay was up to $70,000.
An angry mob raged into the early morning after a Footlocker at the Florida Mall in Orlando cancelled the midnight, first-come first-serve release of 200 pairs of the shoe due to "safety concerns."
