I love this reporters sarcasm. I am going to have to honestly say I don't do Black Friday Sales. It is dumb. Generally I find better deals online, all year. I just have to watch, sniff about, and do my research. If I play my cards right I can land some seriously awesome deals. I also do a lot of shopping at garage sales and thrift stores. With kids as little as mine, they don't really know the difference between a slightly used toy and brand new one. All new to them! This year, instead of buying on Black Friday. I donated to a local thrift store and we bought some baby chicks from Heifer International. There are people in the world who don't stand in line like an insane mob to purchase the newest phone gadget or gizmo cuz they don't have money. Though, having a chicken that lays yummy eggs or they can eat later is one of their top desires. So I challenge you next year, instead of turning completely greedy US grabbing goons, turn your focus outward. Way outward. Donate to someone instead of buying good for yourself. Good tradition to get ones kids into. My children need to know that there is a much bigger world then that newest purring I-Phone in their pocket.
